The world’s Smallest Bird! The bee hummingbird is 2 & 1/2 ” long. But these tiny things have super speed! They can beat their wings at up to 80 times per second! Imagine what you could do if you beat your arms that fast! You could probubly fly!

The world’s sleepiest animal: The KOALA Wow! The koala sleeps 22 hours a day! That’s only two hours less than the whole day!

 The world’s smallest mammal,(Sammy will like this, yes I do!):Kitti’s hog-nosed BAT !!!! It weighs only 0.07 oz. and is about 1  1/2 ” long. They’re also known as the bumblebee bat.

The biggest animal in the world is the blue whale, a giant to the sea. It can reach up to 100′ and weigh up to 100-150 TONS.

Then the biggest animal on land is the african elephant. Large bull (male) african elephants can weigh up to 13,000 pounds (not much to compete with the whale) and can be 12′ tall up at the shoulder.

But if you think “big” means tall, then the “biggest” animal on land is the giraffe, being 18′ tall. Very big males can weigh 4,000 pounds.
